The youth occupies is a primary place in the Redemptorist apostolate. The Youth ministry in Nigeria is very vibrant. The youth receive formative training through their participation in the spirituality of the Redemptorists under the aegis of Redemptorist Youth and Ministry (RYVM). The Redemptorists assist these youths in the deepening of their relationship with the Lord, discerning their vocation in life and building solid Christian moral principle that would guide their lives.

The youth focus on ministering to the abandoned of their immediate environment and beyond. In Nigeria the RYVM can be found in Redemptorist parishes or parishes where Redemptorists have ministered in the past. They have activities at the parish, Regional and National levels. While the group is not exclusively focused on fostering vocations it is joyful to note that a considerable number of our youths have made the choice of joining the Congregation.
